A call for respect for the traditional values of BPS and A demand for the restoration of the old BPS website design sign now

As true Belilios girls, we are truly concerned about the recent development and changes of Belilios Public School (BPS). As a girl's school that dedicates to the cultivation of generations of independent female with a critical mind and a strong sense of commitment towards the school itself, BPS has, unfortunately, been losing her colours over recent years in the three core aspects of the school i.e. balanced development over fields like sports and music, public spirit and scholastic excellence.

This is heartbreaking and we look for an era where BPS would revive and shine like she once was, being professional and supreme. We therefore hope that you, the new leader of the school, who bear both the honour and the burden to lead the school once again to her glorious days, would endeavour to strike a better balance between the traditional values e.g. a stress on excellence and supremacy, and any incoming new values to be introduced to this dignified school.

The traditional values of BPS have built up the pride of each Belilios girl and it would be hard for us to let them go without being given a sufficiently good cause. So once again, we would like to stress that we hope to see a better balance between the traditional values of BPS and those incoming values.

We are not against reforms. We believe that changes are vital and necessary not only to BPS, but also to various counterparts e.g. QC, DGS, etc. Our point is that while changes and reforms are being engineered to bring in fresh ideas and thoughts to BPS, they should be carefully screened and monitored so to ensure that these new changes and reforms are of the highest quality possible. The following statement may be over the edge, but it does tell what our hearts really speak: BPS deserves nothing but the best.

Therefore, viewing the new webpage design of BPS, which has, to our disappointment, fallen short of our expectations of what an official site of a secondary school should be, we cannot help but doubt how changes and reforms have been formulated and engineered. The old webpage design may not have a humanistic touch that of the new one, but it has fortified the traditional values of excellence and professionalism of BPS.

As a most radical measure, we call for the restoration of the old design. For long term speaking, we hope that should you realize the need of bringing in a new design, you would consider hiring professional support from third parties to design a new look for the official site of BPS. The official site of BPS is of paramount representative value since it is one of the most frequently visited interface through which people learn about BPS.

As for the various reforms and changes that you endeavour to adopt, we would like to restate that we are always supportive so long as the reforms and changes are conducive to the betterment of BPS. We will try our best to keep ourselves updated on the ongoings of the school and whenever and wherever possible, have our opinions heard by authorities. This, to us, is part of our duties as Belilios girls.

We hope that you would understand the true reason behind us being somewhat overreacting. This is because we truly love the school and we would like to see that she was treated the best way possible. We are truly concerned over the development of BPS and we believe that you would be sympathetic and understanding towards our cause and would kindly reconsider the strategic directions of BPS.

Thank you very much.
