Eradicating Kudzu sign now

We the undersigned strongly request that some immediate action be taken to eliminate Kudzu growth in this country! Driving through states like Florida, Mississippi and Pennsylvania are like driving through a nuclear accident zone. Stately trees standing like ghoulish dead sentinels along roadsides, and the surrounding trees and areas around them a sweeping blanket of green for as far as the eye can see. Deadly green. Killer green. Kudzu green. Moving across the land, taking down everything in its path.

This is a government decision gone terribly bad. Though warned of the pervasive nature of this insidious plant, the governments chose to ignore warnings and planted the vine along roadsides and medians, all in the hopes of eliminating erosion. Now, as more and more trees die from the weight of this menace, erosion is exactly what they are going to get! As less and less tree roots are left to support the earth and drink the water that washes it away, we also lose precious top soils as well as wildlife habitats. The beauty of our country is being robbed from us by the inactivity of our leaders to do anything to stop it.

We ask you to please stop ignoring this ruinous leviathan and immediately put in place some programs for it's hasty demise before all is lost.

Watching the news and fires in the southeast, you have to wonder would they be so bad if the Kudzu hadn't turned everything there into a tinderbox? I looked past the reporter and noticed the stands of dead trees draped in Kudzu vines as big around as my f

I am shocked at how many people wait until its too late before acting. I live in Toronto Canada and I told my coworkers about your petition this morning. Their reaction was "Why worry about it? It's nowhere near us." That is true. But if you're a caring p

I feel that this is a significant issue. If we are worried about green house gasses how can we plant trees if they are all being consumed by this vine?

We have just spotted kudzu on our property in NE Missouri and are searching for ways to get it out. We have about 55 acres of woods!

Indiana has banned the sale of this stuff. You can't even offer it for sale or your fined. I know it's not going to save the trees that have been killed already but a ban now will save any future forests.

I've seen what this vine can do while living in South Carolina for three years. If someone wanted to murder the earth, this is about the best way they could do it. A horrible plant and it needs to be destroyed now.
