Keep the Flame Alive sign now

We the undersigned, being either members or supporters of the Conservative Party, do herby request that any plans to replace the present "Conservative Party Torch" logo are reconsidered.

We believe that the Torch has served the Conservative Party well in it's various formats since it's introduction in the early 1980's. We believe it is a symbol that is instantly recognisable and promotes the values of the British Conservative Party.

We do not believe that a case has been made for change, and that change simply for changes sake is rarely beneficial.

We believe that no decision to change the Party Logo should be taken without a binding consultation process to include, as a minimum, Members of Parliament; Area and Constituency Officers and Members of the Association of Conservative Councillors. Additionally, as part of any such consultation, the proposed alternative logo should be circulated so those participating in the process have a clear example of the alternative option/s.

I am a Cameron supporter, but have all the struggles that the Torch embodied really gone away? To me, the Torch embodies hard work and rolling up your sleeves to do a tough job. It is a shining light to guide us away from the dangers of socialism, extremi

What a banal way of carrying on. The whole country is in danger from terrorism, economically and in endless important matters and the idiots now running the Party can think of nothing better to do than to change an inspiring symbol for a meaningless one.

Totally agree with your proposal that this should be the subject of further consulation. Personally I think we are changing for the sake of it and agree with your premise of "If it ain't broke - don't fix it!" Constituency Pendle

This tree image is ridiculously generic, and if the word 'Conservative' was removed from beneath it, could be the logo for anything, or nothing! What is wrong with the traditional torch anyway? Yes, it might have some bad connotations from the past, but w
