Letter to Lucasarts, Peace in the Fandom sign now

Chairman and Staff of Lucasfilm, Ltd:

In accordance to the recent developments facing the written Extended Universe of Star Wars, mainly those on the books written by Karen Traviss, I have written in order to express not only my displeasure, but that of certainly many other fans of the dynasty that is Star Wars. However, that is not my only intention in writing this letter, but also to propose an idea that I am sure has been given before, but might be worth the time of the chairman and staff to consider.
As the first order of business, I would like to present a proposition that will shield Lucasarts from most, if not all, displeasure that may be displayed against the changes to the Mandalorians: an alternate universe. Bear with me as I explain. This alternate universe, like the canon universe, would have very similar rules and it's own canon which, by the discretion of the Lucasarts team, would be monitored much the same as the main universe is currently.
However, if would give authors like Karen Traviss (though not her specifically, as it is clear she will not rejoin the Star Wars team) a chance to explore many of the 'What if' scenarios presented by books and short stories in another timeline, building upon other 'What if' scenarios one upon the next much as the rest of Star Wars has done. For example, in the canon universe, the Mandalorians would remain pacifists like they have been designed to now be by the Lucasarts team, while in the Alternate Universe, they would have kept their warrior ways. Another example of a possibly exciting change would be if Mace Windu had managed to kill Palpatine, but something went horribly wrong and an Empire of a different sort was born because of the infighting that caused on both the Separatist and Loyalist sides. Another ripe possibility would be to expand what would happen according to the alternate ending of the game The Force Unleashed where Starkiller defeats Vader.
The possibilities presented by an alternate universe are virtually endless and would negate a large amount of the ill-effects presented by the world of fans and, possibly, opening new windows of revenue and innovation for the company and aspiring authors, filmmakers, and actors needed to keep such a company alive.
With that said, I feel it would now be now safe to present my original intentions in writing this letter, however, in proposing my idea, I feel that a great deal of negative feelings have been dissipated for the time being. Instead, I will will simply close saying that, however this letter is viewed by the people of Lucasarts and all it's child companies, it is an idea that would be the perfect compromise, leaving the most fans satisfied as possible as well as opening new doors for the company itself.
Thank you for your time, and may the Force be with you all.

The Mandalorians are my favourite group within Star Wars. I love the way Karen Traviss and others had managed to give them so much life. They are an incredibly beleivable culture and I hate to see all that hard work thrown out.
