SSEAYP SELECTION PROCESS sign now
This is a petition for the Office of the President of the Philippines to overrule the plan of Philippines National Youth Commission to reserve half of the slots for the 2007 Ship for Southeast Asia Youth Program (SSEAYP) delegation to NYC volunteers.
We petition for the following:
1. The Philippine National Youth Commission must respect its Memorandum of Agreement with the SSEAYP Alumni Association, which provides that the selection of the delegates to SSEAYP is by open competitive selection process.
2. The slots to SSEAYP must be equally distributed to all the regions of the Philippines.
3. The employees and volunteers of NYC must qualify and go through the same selection process as an ordinary applicant.
