Peace solution for a humanitarian cause

Since the jewish people always claimed their religious identity, we understand that the state of Israel has been implemented on the Palestinian lands by the international community for historical reasons.

And since the arab states are predominantly moslems and reject secularism, we also understand that the palestinian cause was adopted both by arab-moslem leaders and peoples as a reaction against the implementation of a jewish state on palestinian lands.

From President Abdel Nasser to present day state leaders, most of whom supported the Palestinian cause to build around it either Arab Nationalism, in reaction to the State of Israel, or Islamic radicalism in reaction to the Jewish Zionism.
Even Oussama Ben Laden, tries to become a moslem leader by appropriating to himself the status of defender of the palestinian cause.

If the United State of America realised after the 11th of September attacks, the deep impact of these factors on its own security, we Arab and Moslem peoples have been suffering from it for decades since the radical islamic movements have always been for us, obstacles for freedom equality and democracy.

In the name of Islam, terrorists consider that they have the right to use all ways of resistance including suicide bombing, making those young suiciders believe that they are dying as martyrs for the sake of Islam, while they are used in reality as weapons of terror against Islam, and only for the sake of land and obscure financial transactions.

If an effective viable solution of peace is to have a chance, it can only come from the Palestinians and the Israelis themselves through civilized political dialogue and not through commercial negociations, proposed by other countries.

Commercial negotiations may come later when peace and security, will be definitively established for every single family whether they are Moslem or Jewish. When every single human being will be able to define herself/himself as a citizen of a nation, and not as a weapon or target of terror in the name of religion.

Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon said that he would not resume peace talks with the Palestinians until terror attacks end and a new Palestinian leadership carries out reforms. He did not address the question of Palestinian statehood, since he failed to get his Likud partys decision-making body to pass a resolution saying that a Palestinian state
should be established, now, or in the near future.

On the other hand, Chairman Arafat admited his own failures in administrating a Palestinian state that can provide work and lead a constructive dialogue to establish a peace plan. He is taking the risk to lose the little that is left if he fails again in reforming the Palestinian Authority.
These reforms should have been undertaken since the Oslo agreement signature, but are being proposed only now in extreme urgency, when Israel and the United States are clearly challenging Arafats status of Palestinian Leader.

Today it is clearly proven that the establishment of two states is geographically, politically and economically uncontrolable and unviable.

Today it is clearly proven that both, Arafat and Sharon, failed in proposing an acceptable human solution since they do not evolve in the same cultural and political structures that might lead them to the same understanding of state, war, terror and human rights.

As things appear to be, the only viable and controllable solution of peace, that third parties could propose to the Palestinians and Israelis which they should be ready to endorse, would be that:
Both parties should accept the establishment of a unique democratic and secular nation, where inhabitants of these lands, whatever might be their race or religion, can live peacefully together as citizens, under the same laws, participating in a democratic process that maintains a balance of power.

Today this solution is more than desirable since it is the unique humanly acceptable solution, and since it can become a model in the whole region for progress towards democracy.

Specialised institutions, civil society, pacifist militants, Palestinians and Israelis that believe in the efficiency of such a solution, should all rise up and work together to find the best way to make it possible in the nearest future, in order to stop violence and restore the real image of all religions as wanted by the Divine in all his holy books and not as interpreted by men avid for power.

Moslem and Jewish mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, must take their human responsibilities and say loudly that:

Violence and hatred must stop !
Land did not and will not bring peace !
War did not and will not bring peace !
Only a civilized political process might offer this chance.
