The Modern Warfare 2 PC Community: Dedicated Servers sign now

I'd like to start with a brief history of my Call of Duty experience. My little preamble, if you will.

October 29th 2003, Call of Duty is released. October 31st 2003, at the age of 17, I purchased the game for the PC.

October 25th 2005, Call of Duty 2 is released. On October 25th 2005, I purchased it for the PC.

November 7th 2006, Call of Duty 3 is released. On November 10th 2006, I purchased it for the PS2.

November 7th 2007, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is released. On November 7th 2007, I purchased it for the PC.

November 11th 2008, Call Of Duty 5: World at War is released. On November 18th 2008, I purchased it for the PC.

And finally on November 10th 2009, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is released. And On November 10th 2009, I purchased it for my PC.

All that was for me to get off my chest.

But the following message is from the community; the gamers, the amateurs, the professionals, the loyal fans, the skeptic fans, the clientele, the people.

We, the people of the Call of Duty community, would first like to praise and congratulate you on the release of your latest game, Modern Warfare 2. Congratulations on your awards from Time Magazine, GameTrailers, Xbox Magazine, Gamespy, IGN, CNN, LA Times, Spike TV, G4, PlanetXbox360, GameDaily, Machinima and VGChartz. Congratulations on all your other countless positive reviews. And congratulations on your One Billion Dollars in sales.

So you've made your millions, your billions. But what are the gamers, the amateurs, the professionals, the fans, YOUR CLIENTELE, saying about Modern Warfare 2's PC addition?

I think you already know. You've read the complaints and we've read your rebuttals. But we'll say it again: The lack of dedicated servers in MW2 is killing the community.

We understand your fondness for IWNET. It was probably a painstaking, tedious, expensive process making such a system. However, it's not what is best for competitive play. There are very few leagues/ladders supporting MW2 and you have lost competitive fan base to games such as L4D and soon to BFBC2. We have also seen a myriad number of CS players come to MW2 expecting something amazing and new. And instead they laugh in the face of Infinity Ward and return to their 30th season of competitive game play in CS.

So the choice is yours. You've made your millions, your billions and it would be easy for you to just sit back now and do nothing. But the people of the Modern Warfare 2 PC community want change. We implore you to consider our voices for this game and future games to come.

If not this game, Call of Duty 7? If not now, when?
